The implementation of CASA-1000 project to supply electricity to Afghanistan will begin in 2016

Almaty. May 21. Silkroadnews - Next year will begin implementation of the CASA-1000 project to supply electricity from Central Asia to Afghanistan and Pakistan. This was announced by Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Valery Dil, informed AfTAG
He explained that funding for the project will be carried out by three financial institutions, including the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The total amount is $470 million.
Recall that in the project CASA-1000 is proposed to build the power line through Central Asia to Afghanistan and Pakistan. Power lines Kyrgyzstan - Tajikistan (477 km), Tajikistan - Afghanistan and Pakistan (750 km).
