Almaty. August 17. Silkroadnews –  For two years the inflow of investments into the Afghan economy fell more than two times, AfTAG writes.

According to study by the Afghanistan Investment Support Agency (AISA), nearly $1 billion was invested into the Afghan economy during the last two years, while for 2013-2014 the investments volume exceeded $2.2 billion. In particular, the investments into the mining industry decreased by 77%, in construction – by 57%, in energy and water supply – by 54%.

The negative trends, first of all, relate to insufficient levels of security and stability in the country. In addition, the economy still suffers from high taxes and corruption, the AISA representative Masihulla Fakri said.
