The interim president of Uzbekistan pointed out to 6 principles of economic development

Almaty. September 9. Silkroadnews – The interim president of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, speaking at the joint meeting of the legislative chamber and senate of Oliy Majlis, spoke about the six basic principles for the country's economy to follow, UzTAG reported.

According to him, firstly, it is necessary to further strengthen macroeconomic stability and support the progress of high economic growth achieved for the recent years.

For this purpose, a set of additional measures shall be implemented to ensure the national currency stability, further strengthen the banking system and balance the budget at the national and regional levels. The policy of conservative and rational approach to foreign borrowing shall be realized as well along with preventing the excessive debt burden for the state.

Secondly, the approved programs for the deep processing of rare and non-ferrous metals and development of the food and chemical industries shall be continued.

Thirdly, according to S. Mirziyoyev, under conditions of intensive competition and volatility in the world markets the expansion of competitive goods production and export potential becomes especially important for both the economy’s real sectors branches and the regions of the republic.

«To this end, we should provide a set of additional measures to further facilitate the participation in the export by the small businesses, private entrepreneurship and farms. This should become the major driving force of the economic growth, development of industries and regions, employment and material well-being of the population», he noted.

According to him, the fourth priority will be the further realization of the attitudes and requirements Islam Karimov set to ensure reliable protection of private entrepreneurship and small businesses interests. The government will continue to resolutely eradicate various bureaucratic obstacles and undue audits.

The fifth, and one of the most important priorities, as S. Mirziyoyev believes, is realization of the program aimed to raise employment of population.

«Creating of more than 1 million new jobs is on the course for us before the end of the year. Here, employment of 480 thousand graduates of professional colleges require a special control. Indeed, we will continue the policy Islam Abduganievich set to reduce the level of social stratification of society not to allow its division into groups of very rich and very poor people», he stressed.

The sixth priority, according to the interim president, will be the continuation of the strategy developed by the first president of Uzbekistan on creation of a modern network of road transport and engineering infrastructure integrated into the international communications net, as well as the development of national information and communication systems.
