The Iranian banks will increase the number of their branches in Tajikistan
Almaty. February 18. Silkroadnews - The Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) informs the Iranian
banks plan to increase the number of their branches and representative office in Tajikistan.
“Iranian banks operating in Tajikistan, with the support of the National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan (NBT), plan to open their branches in the regions and cities of the republic,” - the publication says.
Yesterday in Dushanbe the Iranian Ambassador to Tajikistan Hudzhatullo Fagoni expressed readiness of Iran and Iranian investors to extend the economic cooperation with Tajikistan including the banking sector.
He noted after the removal of multi-year economic sanctions the opportunities of Iran on extension of bilateral cooperation in the various fields has increased considerably.
It should be mentioned a branch of the Iranian bank “Tijorat” has been operating in the banking system of Tajikistan since 1995.
