The Iranian parliament supports the government's plan to build nuclear power plant
Almaty. December 2. Silkroadnews - Iranian parliament supports the government's plan to build new nuclear power plants in the country, reports IrTAG.
This is stated in a letter to lawmakers in the name of the president of Iran Hassan Rouhani. The document was signed by 201 of 290 member of parliament.
"Document states that the legislative body will support the government in terms of the target of budget financing the second phase of the Bushehr plant, includes the construction of two new nuclear reactors and the possibility of further increasing the number of reactors up to 4", - the report says .
As recalled IrTAG, a package of agreements on the construction of new nuclear power plants in Iran was signed on 11 November this year in Moscow by the officials of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran and the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation "Rosatom". It also provides that in the future will be built another 4 nuclear units in other parts of Iran.
