The Islamic Development Bank will introduce a new system of certification of halal products in Kyrgyzstan

Almaty. June 16. Silkroadnews – The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) is interested in a project on a new system of certification of halal products in Kyrgyzstan, the Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan reports.

A meeting with the expert of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Abdurahman Dialu was held in the center of standardization and metrology under the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic on June 14.  

“During the meeting the IDB expert got acquainted with the halal industry’s state in Kyrgyzstan and the center’s plans on introduction of the halal products certification system in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Kyrgyzstan’s Spiritual Directorate of Muslims. We explained why here in Kyrgyzstan we need a new certification system and also told about the role of the system in developing the country’s export potential,” the Ministry of Economy reported.

In his turn, the expert A. Dialu announced the IDB intentions to finance a part of the project implementation.
