The Kyrgyzstan team took the first team place at the World Nomad Games

Almaty. September 9. Silkroadnews – The Kyrgyzstan team took the first team place at the World Nomad Games carried out on September 3-8.

Thus, according to the tournament table posted on the Games website, the first place has been taken by Kyrgyzstan's national team, winning 25 gold, 25 silver and 29 bronze medals. The Turkmenistan's team took the second place with 15 gold, 3 silver and 6 bronze medals.

The team from Kazakhstan with 12 gold, 13 silver and 13 bronze medals took the third place among the teams.  
To remind the World Nomad Games were carried out on the shores of Kyrgyzstan's Issyk-Kul Lake. Sports delegations from 40 countries arrived in there to take part in the games.

The initiative of the World Nomad Games was proposed by President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev in February 2011. The proposal by the Kyrgyz side has found a broad support among the member states of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States. Within the framework of the summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States the heads of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey signed a document on the Games in 2012.

The World Nomad Games have been positioned as a unique platform to strengthen the integration and unity of Turkic-speaking countries and give an impetus to the development of ideology based on the traditions of the ancestors and community of nomadic culture of the peoples of the world.
