The leaders of the BRICS adopted Ufa Declaration and Action Plan of Association

Almaty. July 10. Silkroadnews - Ufa declaration signed by BRICS leaders at the summit in Ufa, confirmed the unity of views on many key issues and economic policy, and demonstrated a desire to strengthen the role of the BRICS in addressing global problems, reported Russian media.
"Leaders of the BRICS were in favor of the acceleration of the reform of the UN and the IMF, condemned unilateral sanctions, expressed concern about the policy of monetary pumping the developed economies of the world, and strongly condemned the crimes of the terrorist group "Islamic State" and called on the Ukraine to abide the Minsk agreement", - says the publication.
The declaration is dealing with issues that directly concern Russia as the owner of the summit: the sanctions imposed against it from western world in response to the accession of the Crimea in the spring of 2014, and the deterioration of the situation in the south-east of Ukraine.
As for Ukraine, the summit participants agreed with the position of Moscow, that the basis for the settlement are the Minsk agreements providing withdrawal of heavy weapons, cease-fire and a gradual search for a political solution to the conflict.
In one of the first articles of the document, participants of BRICS have called for reform of the UN, which in recent years came under harsh criticism for a failure to quickly and effectively face global challenges in the field of security.
The International Monetary Fund, another organization created as a legacy of the post-war new world, also is in need of reform, according to the leaders of the BRICS. Claims to the IMF are similar to the claims put forward the United Nations: the under-representation of growing states, the dominance of the US and its allies in decision-making and engagement in decision-making.
BRICS leaders expressed their condemnation of the terrorist methods used by the IS and urged all parties to "consistently fight against the terrorist threat". BRICS supported the territorial integrity of Syria and Iraq, and called on to deal with the humanitarian crisis faced by the region due to the ongoing violence.
Referring to the ongoing negotiations in Vienna on Iran's nuclear program, the sides called for the early adoption of an action plan to "restore full confidence in the exclusively peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program and provide for the full lifting of sanctions against Iran".
Leaders of the BRICS have mentioned other economic problems, including the fight against drugs and the fight against corruption.
In addition, the leaders of the BRICS countries also called for the development of Internet governance mechanism "which should be based on an open and democratic process that will not influence the decisions taken unilaterally".
Recall, the group BRICS summit, which brings together Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, was held on July 9 at Ufa in the framework of Russia's chairmanship of the organization.
