During the presidency we plan to hold about 100 events of different levels, most of which will be the Summit of Heads of SCO member states in Russia, in the city of Ufa, on July 9-10, 2015 ", - quotes kremlin.ru Putin, who spoke at the enlarged meeting of the heads of the SCO member states in Dushanbe on Friday.
According to him, among the priorities of the presidency is "to strengthen the organization's role as an effective mechanism for regional security, launching major multilateral economic projects, deepening cultural and humanitarian relations, the development of common approaches to pressing regional and global issues".
"We consider it is important to establish links between the SCO and the Customs Union - Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan to enhance cooperation with other international organizations, primarily the UN", - he added.
Recall that Dushanbe hosts meeting of the Council of Heads of Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The meeting was attended by the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, Chinese President Xi Jinping, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambayev, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Uzbek President Islam Karimov.
