The President of Tajikistan and NATO parliamentarians discussed the prospects of cooperation

Almaty. June 24. Silkroadnews - The head of Tajikistan and NATO parliamentarians discussed the prospects of cooperation, reported the Tajik news agency (TajikTA) on Wednesday.
"The meeting discussed issues of cooperation between the two sides, including regional security issues and support of the relevant structures of the RT", - the press service of the head of state.
During the meeting it was noted that Tajikistan has a fruitful cooperation with NATO in various spheres, including military training, language learning, the fight against international terrorism, extremism, humanitarian demining, the elimination of weapons, border security and the fight against drug trafficking, forecasting of natural disasters and elimination of their consequences.
Particular attention was paid to cooperation in promoting peace and stability in Afghanistan and Tajikistan's border with it's neighbor.
Sides expressed confidence that cooperation with NATO will continue to expand in order to further support the security and defense structures of Tajikistan, as well as strengthening security and stability in the region.
