Almaty. December 31. Silkroadnews - PBOC lowered today the national currency renminbi (the official name of the yuan) to the dollar by another 41 basis points to 6.4936 per unit, says the agency TASS.
According to the information, this is a new minimum rate since May 2011.
Previously, the State Council and China, and the PBOC stated the need to maintain the stability of RMB exchange rate, keeping it on a "reasonable and balanced" level. At the same time the controller continues to gradually increase the role of market forces in the calculation of the course.
