Almaty. April 20. Silkroadnews – The rescuers international training center is proposed to be created in Tajikistan, TajikTA informs.

Head of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense (CES) under the Government of Tajikistan, Rustam Nazarzoda said: “My proposal is to create in Tajikistan the International Rescue Training Centre.”
According to him, this project will also contribute to the development of cross-border cooperation with Afghanistan to improve the effectiveness in the natural disasters prevention.

“Why do we cooperate with Afghanistan? Because we are neighbors. Given the geographical proximity of our countries we both face the same natural disasters. Moreover, there is no language barrier, thus, if we train specialists for Afghanistan here in Tajikistan, both we and our neighbors will benefit from such cooperation,” R.Nazarzoda added.

As a result of the meeting the program was developed to strengthen Tajikistan’s capacity to prevent and eliminate consequences of natural disasters.
