The SCO summit to be held in Astana on June 8-9

Almaty. February 23. Silkroadnews – The summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will be held in Astana on June 8-9, Russian media reported.

As Yuri Ushakov, Aide to the President of the Russian Federation, told reporters specifying this year schedule of Vladimir Putin’s contacts with his Kazakhstani counterpart, Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of the Russian Federation is going to visit the capital of Kazakhstan, where the SCO summit will be held, in June.

“The schedule of meetings (between Putin and Nazarbayev) planned for this year will be quite busy: a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Bishkek is preliminary scheduled for April and May, then the SCO summit is to be held in Astana on June 8-9”, TASS quotes the representative of the Kremlin saying.

Y.Ushakov also added, on October 11 Moscow will host the CIS summit, “somewhere in the autumn months in Chelyabinsk N.Nazarbayev and V.Putin will take part in the 14th Forum of Kazakhstan and Russia interregional cooperation”, and reminded that on February 27 two  presidents will meet in Almaty.
