Astana. March 27. Silkroadnews - Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and the European Union (EU) at the end of 2014 amounted to $53.3 billion, which is 0.2% less than in 2013, reported the press service of the Ministry of National Economy (MNE) RK.
As noted in published online MNE report, held the 15th meeting of the subcommittee on trade, investment, energy and transport between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the European Union under the chairmanship of the Vice-Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan Timur Zhaksylykov. The European delegation was headed by the head of the European External Action Service Toivo Klaar.
"The sides discussed issues of bilateral trade of Kazakhstan as a market economy, parallel imports of goods, as well as the latest trends in the field of investments, cooperation in the energy and transport sectors. T. Zhaksylykov noted that the EU is one of the key partners of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of trade and investment. The trade turnover of Kazakhstan and the EU in the last year amounted to $53.3 billion",- stated in a press release.
