The trade turnover of Kazakhstan with the EEU countries fell by 31.2% in the first half of the year

Almaty. August 17. Silkroadnews – In January-June 2016 Kazakhstan's volume of mutual trade with the states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) totaled $5823.5 mln, which is 31.2% lower compared to the same period of 2015, KazTAG reports with reference to Kazakhstan's Ministry of National Economy Statistics Committee.

According to statistics, exports to the EEU made $1803.7 mln, which is 34.5% lower on a year-on-year basis, import made $4019.8 mln (-29.7%).

Within Kazakhstan's export structure the mineral products take the largest part – 32.9% of the total exports to the EEU countries, followed by metals and their products – 23.3%, chemical industry – 20.1%, products of animal and vegetable origin, finished food products – 10.5%.

Of the EAEC countries to a greater extent imported machinery and equipment – 24% to the total volume of imports from the EAEC countries, products of chemical industry – 18.5%, mineral products – 15.7%, products of animal and vegetable origin, final food products – 14.9%, metals and metal products – 12.1%.
