The United States will supply to Afghanistan a batch of multipurpose helicopters MD-530F

Almaty. January 13. Silkroadnews - The American company “MD Helicopters” plans to provide for operation by the Afghan Air Force 12 light multi-purpose helicopters MD-530F, the Afghan News Agency (AfTAG) reports.  
The statement regarding plans on deliveries was published by the company’s representatives adding that the completion of the Air Force fleet of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan will be carried out under the contract with the US Army.
MD-530F are involved in the military operations in Afghanistan since 2011 when the first helicopters arrived in the western province of Herat.
Today, according to “MD Helicopters”, 16 helicopters of this model are at the disposal of the Afghan Air Force and used in military operations and pilot training.
It is noted that the 12 MD-530F arrived in Afghanistan early last year. The company says that their helicopters have demonstrated high operation in military actions, thus, they expect further deliveries.
