The US has extended embargo on the Iranian oil supplies
Almaty. May 18. Silkroadnews – On May 17 US President Donald Trump extended the embargo imposed on the Iranian crude and oil products deliveries, TASS reports.
“After a close assessment of the report the US Congress submitted by the Department of Energy information office and other factors, including the world’s economic conditions and raise in fuel production by some countries, I concluded the world produces sufficient volume of oil and oil products to allow significant reduction in foreign financial organizations’ purchases of oil and petroleum products from Iran”, US President noted in the decree.
He also said he will “closely monitor the situation”, yet reminded, currently his administration “reconsiders its policy towards Iran” and fulfills its obligations under the agreement on the Iranian nuclear program. In this regard, “the United States is not currently making efforts to reduce sales of crude oil by Iran”, the president concluded.
On Wednesday, the US Treasury added to the sanctions lists the names of three more people and four structures related to Iran’s ballistic missile program.
