Currently, the prison contain 112 prisoners, including members of the group "al-Qaeda", captured in the course of counter-terrorist operations in Afghanistan and elsewhere. About half of them can be transmitted to the authorities of foreign countries, and the rest are considered too dangerous and will remain behind bars in the United States. According to the plan, they can be transferred to a prison in Colorado, Kansas and South Carolina, where there is a very strict regime of detention of criminals.
