The volume of China's foreign trade in August fell by 9.7%

Almaty. September 8. Silkroadnews - In August, the volume of China's foreign trade decreased by 9.7%, reported Xinhua news agency.
"The volume of China's foreign trade in August this year amounted to 2.04 trillion yuan, down by 9.7% compared with the same month in 2014. In particular, exports amounted to 1.2 trillion yuan (down 6.1%), while imports - 836.1 billion yuan (down 14.3%)", - said the publication, citing data from General Administration of Customs of China.
During the first 8 months of this year, foreign trade turnover of the country amounted to 15.67 trillion yuan (down 7.7%). At the same time exports fell by 1.6% to 8.95 trillion yuan, while imports fell by 14.6% to 6.72 trillion yuan. The surplus of foreign trade reached 2.23 trillion yuan (an increase of 80.8%).
