"In the first half of 2015 the volume of China's foreign trade amounted to 11.53 trillion yuan (1.89 trillion US dollars), down by 6.9% compared with the same period last year", - said in a statement referring to the General Administration of Customs of China.
The data show that in January-June of this year, China's exports amounted to 6.57 trillion yuan, an increase of 0.9% compared to the same period last year, imports amounted to 4.96 trillion yuan (down by 15.5%).
During this period, the positive balance of foreign trade reached 1.61 billion yuan, up by 1.5 times.
In June this year, China's foreign trade turnover decreased by 1.9% compared with the same month in 2014. In particular, exports increased by 2.1% and imports decreased by 6.7%.
Last month, the positive balance of foreign trade of China increased by 45% and reached 284.2 billion yuan.
