The volume of China's non-financial direct investment abroad grew by 58.7% in H1 2016

Almaty. August 23. Silkroadnews – In the first half of 2016 the volume of direct non-financial Chinese investments abroad amounted to 580.28 billion yuan, i.e. 58.7% growth on a year-on-year basis. The data are provided by the Ministry of Commerce of China, Chinese media reported.

According to the experts, entering the global market the Chinese enterprises at present experiences a unique time with three stages observed simultaneously – initial stage of development, stage of dynamic growth and stage of transition to a higher level of development.

Chief Executive Officer at the international holding company under China Minsheng Investment Corp. Liao Feng believes the rapid growth of China's overseas investments will continue over the coming decade.

«Despite the impact of a number of short-term factors, including fluctuations in exchange rates or the economic situation in some countries, this trend will stay unchanged», he said.

It is reported, that now the leading role in Chinese overseas investment is moving from the large state-owned enterprises to the private sector enterprises. With this there is also a transition within the forms of investments from new businesses creation toward mergers and acquisitions carried out abroad.
