The volume of trade between Iran and Turkey in the I half decreased by 21%

Almaty. August 4. Silkroadnews - The volume of trade between Turkey and Iran in the first half of 2014 decreased by 21% and mounted to $6,51 billion, reports the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG).
According to the Statistics Agency of Turkey, during the same period last year, both countries gained  $8.26 billion in trade.
It is reported that the major share of the downturn in trade relations between the two countries has fallen due to decrease in Turkish exports to the Islamic republic, which fell by 42.5% compared to the same period last year and amounted to $1,45 billion.
The sum of the export of Iranian goods to Turkey for the period decreased by 11.8% and amounted to $5,06 billion, according to the report.
It is also noted that during the reporting period, Iran was the sixth largest importer of Turkish products, and the eleventh largest trade partner of Ankara in terms of the supply of goods and services to the Turkish market.
