Almaty. October 21. Silkroadnews - The World Bank predicts a fall in oil prices in 2015 and 2016, reported "Rossiyskaya Gazeta".
"According to the World Bank, oil (basket grades of Brent, Dubai and WTI with equal weight) in the current year, on average, will cost $52 per barrel, not $57 as it was predicted in July. Reduction involves a revision of estimates of global economic growth - namely, its slowdown. In 2016, projected the further decline in prices to $51 per barrel, while the previous estimate was $61 per barrel", - says the publication.
On the eve, the price of oil rose. Contracts for the "black gold" of Brent crude oil rose in price by 20 cents to $48.82 per barrel; price of November futures contract for WTI crude oil has risen by 44 cents to $46.33 a barrel.
"Yet the price of oil remains at its lowest level in two weeks. This is caused by investors' concerns about the increase in fuel inventories in the United States", - the report says.
According to the forecasts of analysts surveyed by Bloomberg, stocks over the past week have increased by 3.5 million barrels. In addition, the "nervous situation" creates the planned in Iran meeting of OPEC and Russia.
