The World Tourism Organization will prepare guides for the countries of the Silk Roa

Almaty. August 24. Silkroadnews - The World Tourism Organization will prepare guides of the Silk Road in Tajikistan, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, the Uzbek media reported.
"On August 24 in the city of Khiva (a city in the Khorezm region of Uzbekistan) will be the official start of the training course for the preparation of specialized guides on the heritage of the Silk Road in the framework of the UNESCO and the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO)", - said in a statement.
The educational courses will be attended by representatives of Tajikistan, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
The course is conducted in the framework of the United Nations program "Ensuring the livelihoods of people affected by the Aral Sea crisis", aimed at helping to improve the social and economic welfare of the local population in Karakalpakstan through the development of sustainable tourism.
