Beijing. Jul 18. Silkroadnews - There is a chance for Serbia to become a full member of EU well before 2025, France suggests, the Kazakh Telegraph Agency (KazTAG) reports with reference to Kommersant.
Serbia moves towards joining the European Union at a rapid pace and can become a member of the community well before 2025, France’s President Emmanuel Macron said having met with Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic.
Serbia officially applied for the EU membership in 2006, and in 2012 received a full candidate status. The main dispute now relates to the status of Kosovo. Belgrade, as the most of the UN countries, regards Kosovo as its own territory, whereas the EU countries recognize it as an independent state.
