Almaty. December 20. Silkroadnews - Thousands of people gathered to watch public execution of 10 criminals in China, British edition of Metro reported.
“Ten criminals have been executed in front of crowds of thousands of people for dealing drugs, murder and robbery. They were taken to a sports ground in Lufeng, southern China, after being sentenced by two separate courts in the province,” the report said. This is the third public execution since June, which caused a debate in China, as, according to some opinions, the death sentences carried out in a public manner are inhumane and insulting. China’s authorities, yet, state it is done to educate people against committing crimes.
As reported, there were children among the crowd of people who watched the death of ten convicts.
Seven out of 10 executed were drug dealers, the rest were convicted of murder and robbery. Their verdicts were read during the rally, but most likely, they were aware of their fate on the eve of the day of execution.
According to publication, in November three drug dealers were executed in front of 1000 people and in June another 10,000 people witnessed the execution of 13 drug dealers.
