Three high-voltage substation to be built in Bishkek for $8.5 million
Almaty. October 20. Silkroadnews – Contract for three high-voltage substations construction was signed with Malaysian-Chinese consortium PESTECH & SPECO in JSC “Severelectro”, KyrTAG reports.
“The investment project to improve the accountability and reliability of power supply in the Kyrgyz Republic provides for the construction of three new high-voltage substations of high and medium voltage in the city of Bishkek”, the publication says.
According to the contract, the substations construction is planned to be completed by the end of 2017. As a whole $8.5 million has been allocated for this purpose.
High-voltage substations 35/6-10 kV “Orto-Say” and “Sport” will be built in the area of Orto-Say market (3 micro district) and within the area of Isanova/Chui streets. Construction of the third high-voltage substation “Bishkek” of 110/35/6 (10) kV voltage is provided in the area of streets T.Aytmatova/Salieva, Saratovskaya.
It is worth to note, along with the commissioning of “Bishkek” substation the newly commissioned facilities can also be included into the power grid with a total capacity up to 40 MW.
