Beijing. June 18. Silkroadnews - Three OPEC member states are going to veto the forthcoming meeting in Vienna on a proposal to increase oil production backed by Saudi Arabia and Russia, the Iran Telegraph Agency (IrTAG) reports quoting saying by Iran’s representative to the bloc Hossein Kazempour Ardebili.
“Three OPEC founders are going to stop it,” he said, as Bloomberg wrote, “if the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Russia want to increase production, this requires unanimity. If the two want to act alone, that’s a breach of the cooperation agreement.”
To remind, on June 7, 2018, Reuters reported citing the sources, that the U.S. administration asked Saudi Arabia to increase oil production. One of the sources has noted that the conversation took place on May 7, the day before Trump announced withdrawal from the Iran’s nuclear deal.
