Almaty. January 25. Silkroadnews - Tianjin relocates two chemical plant after the devastating explosions, the information portal China news informed.
“In 2016 Tianjin will begin the redeployment of two large chemical plants suffered from the massive explosions, which affected more than 160 people in 2015. The cost of the relocation will make 29 billion yuan,” the statement said.
Reportedly, the project will be financed by low-interest loans and support funds provided by Tianjin’s Binhai New Area.
According to general manager of “Nangang Industrial Zone Co. Ltd.” Van Tszyunmin, the transfer of a chemical plant of Tianjin and also Tianjin Dagu Chemical Plant from the densely populated area of the industrial zone in the southern Nanang Tianjin shall begin this year.
It is noted that two factories, built in 1930, are located in the districts of Hangu and Tanggu of Tianjin province and are considered quite safe for the local population and the environment.
According to the publication, last August the massive explosions occurred in the port of Tianjin. After that the Tianjin chemical factories got moved to the industrial zone Nanang, which is located about 30 km from the explosion site and 10 kilometers from the nearest settlement. The Nanang Industrial Zone covers an area of 200 square km and has to be a multi-functional industrial zone with large chemical production and port.
