Astana. October 7. Silkroadnews - to achieve 95% coverage of the population of Kazakhstan by digital TV is scheduled in two years. This was announced by Minister for Investment and Development Asset Issekeshev, reports KazTAG.
"The coverage of digital television today is 51% of the population. By the end of the year we plan to reach 72%, and in two years we will reach 95% coverage of the population",- said A.Isekeshev at the plenary Global e-Government Forum 2014 in Astana on Tuesday.
According to the minister, the level of computer literacy of the population of Kazakhstan has reached 63%, the number of Internet users in the country - about 12 million or more than 70% of the population.
