"To date, its interest in joining the organization officially declared 12 states", - says the publication citing the Kremlin press service.
It is also mentioned that currently is being discussed the possibility of launching the procedure of admission to the SCO of India and Pakistan, who have applied in September 2014.
"Its desire announced Iran. Belarus, actively participating in the work of the SCO as a dialogue partner, is willing to raise its status to observer", - the report says.
