Trade between Tajikistan and the CIS countries for 10 months amounted to $ 2 billion

Almaty. November 28. Silkroadnews - Trade turnover between Tajikistan and CIS countries for 10 months this year amounted to about $ 2 billion, according to the Tajik news agency (TajikTA) on Friday.
"This is 18.4% more than the same period in 2013", - stated in the final report for 10 months of Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.
According to information, the highest turnover reaches Tajikistan trade relations with Azerbaijan - 113.7%, Russia - 41.8% and Kazakhstan - 26.9%.
The growth of trade with these countries is associated with an increase in import of energy and grain of these states.
Meanwhile, significantly reduced the volume of trade between Tajikistan and the six countries of the CIS. Since the beginning of 2014 a significant reduction in turnover is observed with Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Uzbekistan.
For 10 months. this year, the trade turnover between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan amounted to about $33 million, accounting for 80%, with Armenia - 51%, Uzbekistan - 49.1%.
Reduced turnover with Uzbekistan is explained due to the cease of the energy supply.
