Almaty. 5 May. Silkroadnews - Transnational drug groups are seeking to expand the market for the drug, said the director of the Agency for Drug Control (ADC) of Tajikistan Rustam Nazarzoda, speaking at the IX meeting of member countries of the memorandum on regional cooperation in drug control.
He stressed the need to consolidate the efforts of anti-drug agencies in the region to fight in this area.
R.Nazarzoda focused on the issue of strengthening regional control over the movement of precursors from the producing countries to Afghanistan, noting the need for early revitalization of the Central Asian Regional Information and Coordination Centre for combating illicit drug trafficking (CARICC).
Also at the meeting was considered a regional program of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime in the years 2015-2019.
