Trump's assistant spoke to the UN Security Council for cooperation with Russia on Afghanistan

Silkroadnews - Assistant to the U.S. President for National Security Affairs, Lieutenant General Herbert Raymond, spoke in favor of cooperation with Russia on Afghanistan, the Afghan Telegraph Agency (AfTAG) reports referring to the statement by the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations Vassily Nebenzia.
According to him, on Tuesday McMaster held a meeting with the Security Council members and briefed them on Afghanistan.
Nebenzia said he agreed with a representative of the U.S. administration “on most of the points he touched on.” “He mentioned the need for Russian-American cooperation on Afghanistan, which is an issue we can cooperate on, I fully agreed, I said the president [of Russia Vladimir] Putin, when gave a press conference in December, thanked the Americans for their presence in Afghanistan, for the work they are doing, he stressed the need for cooperation on this issue,” the agency quoted him saying summing up the results of the meeting with the U.S. presidential aide.
