Almaty. November 16. Silkroadnews - Turkey has canceled a multibillion-dollar deal to buy Chinese missile defense system, reported IrTAG.
"The deal is canceled. One of the main reasons - the desire to develop its own missile defense system", - said the representative of the Office of the Turkish Prime Minister.
Pre-deal, estimated at 3 billion euros, was set out in 2013, sparking concerns of a number of Western countries, who warned the Turkish authorities that the Chinese technology may not be compatible with those used by NATO countries.
