Turkmenistan and Afghanistan agreed on electricity supply

Almaty. May 28. Silkroadnews - Turkmenistan and Afghanistan have reached an agreement for the supply of electricity from Turkmenistan in 2018-2027 and to increase the volume of exported electricity by four times during this period, reports Trend.
"The ceremony of signing the protocol of the meeting between the leaders of Turkmenistan's Ministry of Energy and  the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan was held in the presence of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President's special representative for Afghanistan in CIS Mohammad Shaker Kargar", - says the publication.
Electricity production in Turkmenistan this year is expected to reach 21.9 billion kW / h, export is planned for 2.89 billion kW/ h of electricity.
