Almaty. January 28. Silkroadnews - Turkmenistan intends to double electricity exports to Afghanistan, reported the Afghan News Agency (AfTAG).
As noted, Turkmenistan currently sells at a discount to Afghanistan 250 MW of electricity.
"With the commissioning of the new generating station in Lebap region, Turkmenistan expects to double that amount", - the report says.
Completion of the plant is expected in December 2016.
