Turkmenistan launched the first communications satellite

Almaty. April 28. Silkroadnews - Cape Canaveral (Florida, USA) launched the first telecommunications satellite of Turkmenistan named TürkmenÄlem 52°E, reports Trend.
"The satellite connection will give a powerful impetus to improve the quality of broadcasting of national TV and radio channels and create conditions for live TV, establish a high-quality system of the Internet, distance learning and telemedicine advancement", - said in a statement.
The communication system will also contribute to the formation of a cellular network in settlements located in remote places, open up broad prospects for the development of an information system based on the latest technologies and innovations.
The space unit, built by the French company Thales Alenia Space, was launched by carrier rocket Falcon 9.
