Turkmenistan will introduce a system of monitoring the border with Afghanistan

Almaty. August 7th. Silkroadnews - Turkmenistan will introduce a system of monitoring the border with Afghanistan, according to Afghan News Agency (AfTAG).
"The entire 744-kilometer of Turkmen-Afghan border will be equipped with an electronic tracking system", - said senior officer of Border Service of Turkmenistan, who asked not to indicate his name.
According to him, currently under a closed tender for the development of border control system are used satellite surveys, ground and air radar tracking stations, among other things, involved the French company Thales and Airbus.
Recall that from the beginning of the year, the Afghan militants in two incidents killed six Turkmen border guards.
