Almaty. August 1. Silkroadnews – The U.S. Treasury has allowed re-export of civilian aircraft to Iran, IrTAG writes.
The document “authorizes the re-export of certain civil aircraft to Iran for a temporary stay and the related transactions”. We are talking about the “American civil fixed wing plane or a ship of another country, in which 10% of the cost belongs to the United States”.

The U.S. Treasury decision transfers to Iran the right to hire and fire the crew for the aircraft shipped from the U.S., decide on flights routes and carry out minor maintenance of aircraft in case repairs are necessary, though such repairs shall be carried out outside of Iran not to involve the Iranian citizens.

Iran also cannot be a place of registration of the aircraft, the aircraft shall not be labelled with the symbols of the Iranian airline flights or adopt the numbering of the Iranian carriers.

Aircraft staying in Iran will be limited to 72 hours.

The document prohibits the transfer of rotary-wing aircraft and unmanned vehicles and technologies to Iran.
In June it was reported about Iran reaching a preliminary agreement with Boeing to purchase 80 passenger aircraft.

According to sources, the deal requires the approval of the U.S. authorities and involves both direct purchase and leasing of aircraft. The transaction alleged has met strong criticism of the Republicans’ side in the United States.
