Ukrainian refinery plans to buy Kazakh oil

Almaty. September 25. Silkroadnew - Kremenchug refinery plans to import Kazakh oil, reports KazTAG citing to Reuters.
The only oil refinery in Ukraine, does not operate at full capacity, and plans to revive its power by means of imports of Kazakh oil, said "Ukrtatnafta", which owns the refinery.
As explained, the refinery in Kremenchug long relied on Russian oil, but was forced to turn to its own minimum oil production in Ukraine. The plant is located in the center of Ukraine, in a secure area of ​​the conflict zone in the east.
"Ukrtatnafta" plans to import CPC Blend oil from the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC). The company intends to buy 160 thousand tons of CPC Blend per month from the consortium, which transports oil from Kazakhstan to the Black Sea.
"Ukrtatnafta plans to buy two tankers a month coming from fields of Kazakhstan", - the company said.
Kremenchug refinery, with a nameplate capacity of 18.6 million tons a year, operates only at 14%. On Ukrtatnafta, according to its own estimates, accounts 10% of the petroleum products in Ukraine, the rest is imported.
