UN Deputy Secretary will visit Iran

Almaty. August 14. Silkroadnews - UN Deputy General Secretary Valerie Amos on August 17 will arrive in Tehran in the framework of an official two-day visit, the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Thursday.
According to the United Nations Information Center in Tehran, Valerie Amos, who is also the Emergency Relief Coordinator of the international organization, will hold talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Javad Zarif, Deputy head of the Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi and Hussein Amirabdullahin, president of the organization to prevent the consequences of natural disasters Ismail Najjar and President of the Iranian society "Red Crescent" Mohammad Farhadi.
It is expected that V. Amos will also take part in the ceremony on the occasion of World Humanitarian Day, which will be held on August 18 at the International Conference Centre of the Iranian capital.
Recall, this is already the second visit of V. Amos to the Islamic republic in her current position. Her first visit to Iran was in September 2013.
