UN’s aid to Kyrgyzstan to exceed USD 400 mln in total for last 9 years

Bishkek. May 27. Silkroadnews – The UN has provided USD 400 mln in aid to Kyrgyzstan in the last 9 years. This was reported by the permanent coordinator of the UN in Kyrgyzstan, Alexandr Avanesov, at “UN and RK: partnership for sustainable development” parliamentary hearings.
He noticed that there are 3 main dimensions of UN activities in Kyrgyzstan. These are: peace and unity, efficient democratic management and human rights.
As Mister Avanesov informed, the UN plans to provide further USD 72 mln in aid within the framework of social integration, food security, education and healthcare programs. It also plans to grant USD 65 mln within the framework of all-encompassing sustainable development, poverty reduction and job creation.
