Astana. September 18. Silkroadnews - United States is ready to continue the strategic partnership with Kazakhstan in the field of strengthening nuclear safety, informs KazTAG citing the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
US Minister of Energy Ernest Moniz said that Kazakhstan is "the driving force in the establishment of the United Nations International Day against Nuclear Tests".
"American minister highlighted the leading role of Astana in establishing a zone free from nuclear weapons in Central Asia. He noted the active work of Kazakhstan in promoting signed on 6th of May in New York by five nuclear powers Protocol on negative assurances to the Treaty on the Central Asian Nuclear Free Zone",- says the publication.
Minister of Energy of the United States stressed that Kazakhstan is "one of the strongest partners of the United States in nuclear non-proliferation".
