USA donated TSC to Tajikistan

Dushanbe. March 19. Silkroadnews – USA donated a telecom service centre (TSC) worth USD 3.6 mln to Tajikistan, as TajikTA reports.
“This equipment will significantly improve ability of Tajik government to respond to emergency situations. It will also facilitate the exchange of information for identifying threats and taking preventative actions”, said Susan Elliot, the US Ambassador to Tajikistan at the official ceremony.
The construction of TSC was funded by the US within the framework of its anti-drugs programmes.
The US has provided over USD 1 bln worth of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan since 1992.
