Uzbek airports "Bukhara" and "Navoi" after the financial and economic recovery will increase traffic volumes
Tashkent. June 16. Silkroadnews - Uzbek government has approved the program "road maps" for financial and economic recovery of two international airports "Bukhara" and "Navoi" with NAC "Uzbekistan Airways", said Uzbek Telegraph Agency (UzTAG).
"According to the "road map", the financial position of two airports ("Bukhara"and "Navoi"- Silkroadnews) will be improved by increasing the air traffics, modernizing and strengthening the material and technical basis, restructuring and reduction of receivables and payables," - said publication.
It is expected that the South Korean company Korean Air will increase the number of cargo flights on Flight 103 with an increase in traffic by 4.2 tons through the airport "Navoi".
Futhermore, "Uzbekistan Airways" will hold talks with European and Turkish airlines to attract cargo flights and technical stops at the airport.
In turn, to ensure "Bukhara" congestion national company will open new domestic and international flights.
Implementation of these and other measures will help two airports to increase profit in 2014. "Navoi" airport will provide services for 54.74 billion soums and will gain a profit of $ 2.5 billion soums in 2014.
The volume of services of "Bukhara" airport will grow from 18.726 billion soums in 2013 to 22.92 billion soums in 2014. It is expected that the airport will make a profit of $ 342 million soums in 2014 against a loss of $4.73 billion soums in 2013.
