Uzbek border guards wounded two citizens of Kyrgyzstan

Almaty. May 19. Silkroadnews - Uzbek border guards wounded two citizens of Kyrgyzstan, reports KyrTAG.
"On May 19, using weapons Uzbek border guards, wounded two Kyrgyz citizens", - said in a statement of the Department of Public Relations and Mass Media of the State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan on Tuesday.
According to preliminary information, Kyrgyzstani followed in his car from the city Kadamjai (KR) to Kyzyl-Kiya (KR) on the transit highway passing through the territory of Uzbekistan. Breaking the agreement, under which vehicles are not allowed to stop on the transit road, Kyrgyzstani stopped and gave a lift to two compatriots.
"Seeing what is happening, Uzbek border guards tried to stop the car, but the driver did not obey the requirements and continued to move. Uzbek border guard opened fire on the vehicle, as a result two Kyrgyz citizens were wounded",- said in a statement.
The driver of the car drove to the border control post "Ayrybas" of Aidarken border detachment (KR), where Kyrgyz border guards made a first aid to the wounded.
Currently, the driver and his passenger are in medical institution of Kyzyl-Kiya.
About the incident informed the relevant authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic and representatives of the Committee for State Border Protection of National Security Service of Uzbekistan.
The incident went under investigation. The State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan plans to hold a meeting with representatives of the border of Uzbekistan to investigate the causes and circumstances of the incident.
