Uzbek law enforcement agencies launched a criminal investigation into the shooting at the border with Kyrgyzstan

Almaty. January 20. Silkroadnews - Law enforcement authorities of Uzbekistan have opened a criminal investigation into the shooting at the border with Kyrgyzstan on 18 January as a result of which wounded one man, reported Uzbek Telegraph Agency (UzTAG).
According to the Uzbek side, as a result of the use by Kyrgyz border guards of weapon citizen of Uzbekistan S. Akhmedov was shot. Now his health condition is assessed as extremely serious.
"On the same day at the scene was held a meeting of representatives of the border of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, during which the Kyrgyz side was presented four shells found on the territory of Uzbekistan at a distance of 400 meters from the state border. In response, the representative of the state border of Kyrgyzstan Colonel Z.Nadyrbekov, moving away from a direct answer, tried to justify himself, referring to the lack of knowledge of their area, and refused to sign a protocol on holding bilateral investigation",- said in a statement.
The law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan prosecuted a criminal investigation.
