Uzbekistan allows to withdraw cash from cards

Beijing. March 27. Silkroadnews - By April 1, 2018, Uzbekistan will introduce a mechanism allowing to withdraw foreign currency in cash from international payment cards within the limits established by commercial banks, the Uzbek Telegraph Agency (UzTAG) reports citing the order by the President of Uzbekistan “On additional measures to increase access to banking services” dated March 23.
By April 1, the Central Bank, as well as commercial banks, have been instructed to introduce a system for remote control of individuals’ accounts settlements, providing operations for buying and selling foreign currency and transferring money from international payment cards to time deposits in foreign or national currency, the document says.
