Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan are least dependent on Russia among the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus - IMF

Silkroadnews - Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan are least dependent from Russia among the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus, transmits Uzbek Telegraph Agency (UzTAG) with reference to the review of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), "Caucasus and Central Asia: Increasing risks requires strengthening of reforms".
According to the survey, Uzbekistan in terms of exports depends on Russia by less than 3%, imports - by 10.3%, and on remittances and foreign direct investment (FDI) - less than 3%.
The least dependent, according to experts of the IMF remains Azerbaijan (Uzbekistan on the second place - Silkroadnews), which in all four positions (exports, imports, remittances and FDI - Silkroadnews) depends on Russia by less than 3%.
